It was indeed a really wonderful trip! The local ground arrangements, hotel (4star), Boat house, transport, food were all very good and comfortable. The staff were all very humble and courteous. Gulmarg (snow bikes) and the Tulip garden were the highlights. My feedback for other groups is to prepare small change in Indian rupees as tipping is expected for almost everything and everywhere in Kashmir. From the airport to transport and hotel. Perhaps tipping should be factored into the tour so that we don’t have to carry much rupees. It is also difficult to estimate how much is a reasonable amount. We also could not used our international credit card or Wise card in smaller shops. However we managed to withdraw rupees from the local ATM using the Wise card and used it for shopping and tipping. Security in Kashmir is tight, so you can travel and explore Kashmir feeling safe. Shopping wise, I found that some of the items which we bought such as the Kehwa tea from the shops which the tour took us to was not the same as what we were served as a sample, which was disappointing. Hence need to be careful when purchasing these items. But some of the carpets and pashmina shawls which we bought from the local emporium was of good quality and unique. Street shopping is good for getting local trinkets (cash only). These are some of our experiences that I would like to share with other tourists who wish to explore Kashmir. Kashmir really is the heaven on earth, the beauty of nature at its best, so go ahead and experience it! Here are some of our best shots
